Not a whole lot to say here -- the blog pretty much speaks for itself. One caveat: I wrote the Viva Robusto blog in real time while I was traveling. Sometimes I was paying a large sum of money for internet connectivity. Sometimes I was angry or frustrated with traveling. Sometimes I was drunk. Sometimes I wanted to post something while it was fresh in my memory. And still other times I just didn't care about writing anything coherent -- I just wanted to offload into cyberspace. What I'm getting at is that some of the writing in that old thing ain't exactly Shakespeare. I point this out because the writing in my book, The Reluctant Traveler: How to Explore The World Without Learning Anything About Yourself or Other Cultures, is much, much better. It's way funnier and more interesting than my blog. So, if you like the blog even a little bit, you will (hopefully) love the book. Rather than link you up to the front page -- which has fairly recent food content -- I'm gonna link you to all posts labeled "beer."
